Bail and Magistration Education

This course addresses changes in bail procedures under the Damon Allen Act as well as common topics and scenarios what Judges will encounter in setting and adjusting bail throughout the post arrest process.  The presentations will educate Judges on best practices in order to ensure correct application of law and consistency in administrative processes.  CURRENT AVAILABLE MODULES: Judge Alfonso Charles: Bail Reform and Impact of the Damon Allen Act***Judge Mark Hocker: Indigency/Right to Counsel Issues - 1 hour*** Judge Laura Weiser: Impaired Driving Bail and Bond Conditions - 1 hour*** Judge Nelda Cacciotti - Early Identification and Mental Health Bonds - 1 hour***  Judge Courtney Arkeen - Unintended Consequences of Bond Conditions and Protective Orders - 1 Hour*** Megan LaVoie - SB6 & OCA Public Safety Report System - 1 Hour*** Justice Marc Brown - Warrants and Probable Cause - 1 Hour.
